High School Senior Concerned about Fall 2025 Rush

I’m a high school senior from West Palm Beach, and I’m 100% committed to UCF this fall. I’m planning to rush fraternities and have been using Greekrank to learn more about the chapters. But I’m very concerned after hearing of the current issues that are going on right now with Greek life at UCF. Do you think Fall 2025 will be a bad semester to rush? I’d really prefer not to wait until Spring 2026 or later, as rushing has been something I’ve wanted to do for as long as I can remember.
(Also any other general rush tips would be appreciated).

Congrats you will love it here. In a few months we’ll know more about who might be suspended in the fall. They are cracking down here right now, by summer it will hopefully be normal again. Keep watching on here. We’ll post info about chapter vibes, chapter strengths-weaknesses and stuff.

I might be looking for a more laid back chapter. I know a couple chapters here don't have houses and I know a new one is coming in the fall so that would be exciting if I were to do that. But I love the party/social scene and will rush around nonetheless. Just hope the situation improves.

From my understanding it’s various frats for specific cultures and I’m white so that’s not an option for me lmao.
I’m majoring in civil engineering and minoring in CS. I heard of Theta Tau a co-ed engineering frat but I heard from friends at UCF rn they lean on the “woke” side and ask for pronouns at rush. I’m pretty politically conservative so I don’t think I’d be into that. I think I could make industry connections through clubs and stuff. Just looking for a great social/party scene.

Honestly, people **** on the disaffiliated frats a lot, but sooner than later all frats will disaffiliate bc ucf sucks. Sigma pi and AEPi both still follow rules, just not directed towards ucf, which means they can have parties. That’s the only difference.

Honestly man, best advice to give to you would be to not focus on greekrank at all for reliable info about frats and **** like that. When you first get to campus and start meeting people in greek life, visiting houses, or going through the rush process next fall, choose the spot with the people you **** with the most, and a frat you could see yourself being boys with for the long run. That’s what this **** is all about. Don’t let greekrank or people already in frats make the decision for you or tell you where to go, enjoy and take advantage of every opportunity to make your own decision.
