tbh this mostly just means sororities will be taking the same amount as they have before, since the new addition of gappa phi beta brings the number to 11 sororities. either way, yes, sororities will take a few more girls each to accommodate for chi o's absence and so they can reach quota, which is set by panhellenic based on the # of girls going through recruitment, so that it's fair for everyone. don't worry about having less options. as long as you go in with an open mind and maximize your options, you should be running home on bid day to a good group. usually its extremely rare for someone not to get into a house. more often, the pnm herself will drop because she is displeased with her options, but there are generally always sororities who will take girls who stay the whole week.
