Pairing with mid and base frats

It’s exactly the same. Tops only have socials with mids, they have never ever paired with true mids because mids are mid-not attractive or popular. Mids have always paired with base frats, tke, sae and dsig were all base and unhoused and got mid sorority pairs. You can pair in your tier and 2 tiers down if you aren’t tier obsessed and you actually are friends.

Yes, I am in a “top” chapter and I think we should all just hang out with whoever. Why is someone even tracking it - it’s actually kind of bizarre

they have always tracked socials and pairs but never judged mids and lowers harshly. tops always had clothes left mids and lowers alone but not anymore. the angry mod needs to go away and stop speaking for tops bc they live mids too

You gotta understand mids have only a few options.
Top sororities are very very selective
Upper mid sororities are selective
Mid sororities are not very selective
Lower mid sororities are not selective
Base sororities rarely pair

To her point, why are they tracking it and like who is tracking it? It is really strange. I always thought it was weird that the ranks use socials and the ranks use hoco pairs. They’re measuring the same concept but it counts double in the ranks.
But yeah tracking socials is really odd when I think about it and the other colleges do not track socials and post socials by chapter. I’m in favor of ending that. It’s strange that it ever started. Who even has access to everyone’s calendars or time to track that.

I don’t think anything should count twice. We have popularity, socials, pairs and looks, that’s a lot.

normalize pairing with your favorite frats regardless of tier. if ur not moving tops down ur not moving mids down
true mid frat options- dsig, tke, fiji
aephi paired with tke, fiji, pikapp, tep (2 mids)
top frat options-theta chi, sig chi, ato
kd paired with sae, sig, theta chi, phidelt (2 tops)

If MIDS pairing with BASE is LOWER behavior then TOPS with MIDS is UPPER behavior. We are not having higher expectations for mids than top tiers. Top tiers are role models mids are average like worry about tops if you are so disgusted. Lots of tops are disgusted with tops paired with mids but you know that mids are accepting of everyone so leave them alone already

Not that pairs should even matter so much. We have chapters that win awards and consistently carry a high gpa and do amazing things on campus and in the community but all this site cares about is who your sorority booked a social with this semester? Why? Our value is based on who we’re booked to ride a bus to a bar with this semester? It’s absolutely backwards and not why I joined a sorority.

Make all mid chapters mid- three tiers total. It’s literally how UF does it and they are twice our size. Then we don’t even need to call a tier “base” we can have mid, upper and top = 3 tiers total

we tried and piphi, axid or theta didn’t like it. they commented that they worked hard to be upper in the comments.

they can say it’s mids running things but it’s a lot of us and we need to start speaking up for mids and lower chapters. they think mids don’t have friends in higher tiers but you do and we support you. tops and uppers want to be free to pair with whoever without the everyone attacking them
