I think that event participation is really based on popularity and following the norm not so much reputation. Lipsync has always been the event all the sorority new members participate in and even though zta is not everything it used to be chapters will still go hard for it.

Zeta is not everything they used to be but they are still desirable and undeniably top. Their issues right now have nothing to do with their popularity, their looks just can’t outweigh those issues anymore. But they are still one of the most popular srats, which makes people want to support them and why they still get so much participation

in my opinion, if you have effective leadership and a strong reputation people will go harder for your event.
