I remember recruitment like it was yesterday. I want to share with you some positivity so you feel more relaxed and confident.
I found some of my closest friends in my sorority and grow closer to the older sisters every day. If you base your decision on ranks, looks or popularity it might not work out for you. Go with your heart. Look for a chapter with similar values to you and a similar vibe. Choose the chapter you feel like you'd be comfortable kicking your shoes off at the front door. You want to find a forever sisterhood.
My sorority sisters are some of the sweetest, most dedicated and supportive girls ever. Your sisters will push you to be your best, pursue leadership opportunities, and excel at school. The sisterhood events, social events, and other activities are so fun. Philo events will help you give back to the community and help you to bond with your sisters, get to know girls in other chapters and meet fraternities. Leadership opportunities will help your resume, and will keep you more involved in the greek community.
Trust me when I say that there is a home for everyone. Every chapter is different in so many ways, but there is basically one place where you will truly belong. Be yourself! Trust the process, trust your gut and try not to stress too much. Best of luck finding your forever family that will welcome you home on bid day.
