Current Categories too Subjective

The current categories being used for rankings are too easily manipulated by the person doing the ranks.
Use your own judgement when evaluating sororities. You’ll see that this is not how Greeks are viewed irl.
Sisterhood: Subjective
Reputation: can be objective if you have and use data
Popularity/Socials: subjective but there is some data to support strength of social and hoco pairing
Hoco Pairs: subjective and this should be combined with Socials/pop/Social life (how the hell is this its own category? HOCO is once a year!)
Social Life: completely subjective and just another way of saying “Socials/pop/Hoco” but without any new data
Looks: very subjective
Diversity: completely unmeasurable, especially when judging 11 other chapters that are not your own
Leadership: objective
Involvement: objective
Comp Wins: objective but this should fall under “involvement” - it is literally the results of the involvement and should not be its own category
Greek Achievements: objective
Philo Event: subjective but can make an argument for objective based on attendance and money raised but should clearly be combined with involvement (how the hell is this it’s own category- these events are once a year!)

Yeah so they can be two data points under the same single category, but not two separate categories. You expand and collapse categories to suit your needs and leave the objective categories off your “official sorority rankings” (gpa, achievements) to make your house look better. It’s fine bc it’s a public website but own it as your personal rank opinion.

To be clear Involvement is vastly different than Comp Wins. They are two completely different things.
Involvement shows you care about showing up for other chapters and put in the effort.
Winning means you spend a lot of money, time and work to win. Look at the data it’s not the same.

Agree that pnms will come here for info but can’t understand why we don’t just post objective info since subjective items are all based on opinion and bias. It just doesn’t make any sense why subjective items would be blended into a post to “rank” against your fellow Pan sisters when you know it’s just your personal opinion.
