stay with someone who lacks ambition

I know this isn't the place to ask this but idk where else to ask. Would any of u stay in a long distance relationship for 4 years with someone who has no ambition? Take into consideration that the guy is great emotionally and there for u but he just seems to have no plan and u have been pulling the bulk of the expenses. He cant afford to come c u and he's in a 2 year program but is unsure of his plans to go onto a 4 year program. Whenever u go home to c him, u pay for mostly everything like groceries but he's a great guy. His family just doesnt have a lot of money but he has no job and doesnt seem to b making an effort to get one. He just seems content with his family sending him $50-$60 every week. Opinions. At this point I am unsure of whether I want to end it and risk losing the rest of my friends back home since they r also his friends and just try to make my own life in Florida or stay with him and hope he glows up. Idk help!
