I’m a girl coming to Ucf in the fall. Gotta know why I can’t join a frat even though I am a girl? It’s silly that we base greek life off of gender. I really wish we could be neutral.

Because there are only two genders. Male and female. Males are in fraternities whereas females are in sororities.

you need a history lesson. sororities were invented in the late 1800's because girls were excluded from fraternities. in it's time it was a women's right issue and that's why some sororities have the word fraternity after their name. girls said "if boys can have greek life, than girls can too" and now it's all ritual, which greek life loves.
