rushing with friends

Do you get to be with your friends during rush or do they separate you into groups? How big are the groups usually ?

No, you'll be split up into groups of around 10 according to last name. It's a very structured and scheduled week

It is best not to spend the entire time with your friends anyway. Joining a sorority is all about meeting new people and broadening your Horizons...
Plus it would be too easy to be influenced by your friends' opinions, when picking a sorority should be completely your independent choice.
When I joined my sorority not a single friend from HS picked the same one. While I am still friends with a few of those girls, it has changed my life immensely to be in a sorority where I didn't know anyone to being in agroup of women who have become my true sisters.
