How hard is it to actually get a bid in formal recruitment? Is it really all about looks and age?

For top tier sororities, honestly yes it is.
However middle tier down you can get a bid with a great personality, connection to sisters rushing you, and a strong presentation.
Your presentationame is all about confidence, dressing to your body, showing confidence, knowing yourself so you don't come across fake, and a genuine interest in that sisterhood
