2 fraternities facing hazing allegations

One Delta Upsilon fraternity pledge complained that he and others were forced to run at 5 a.m. until they vomited.

Three men with apparent ties to Kappa Alpha Psi, which has been suspended nationally for eight years, spun red and white canes like they were mimicking majorettes in the marching band. But when they dropped the canes, they were beaten by two other men with canes, two passers-by reported.\n\n\n\n\nThe University of Central Florida is investigating the two incidents as hazing after they were reported last month, according to documents released Wednesday by the school.

At UCF, Greek Life organizations emphasize they do philanthropy and promote student leadership. But like other schools across the country, UCF has reported alcohol and hazing issues with some of the groups in recent years.
