These guys do know how to party, and are pretty outgoing especially for engineers. They do limit their membership to one kind of student so diversity isn't really possible.

Really enjoy most of the brothers I've met here, some of my best friends are here despite being in different fraternities. They know how to drink and have a good time, you have to be either an engineer or DET to be considered, but also don't forget this is an engineering school so every other fraternity has a ton too. Overall fun and chill guys tho

Great bunch of guys. They manage to play hard and work hard. These guys are engineering majors, one of the toughest at Trine. They know how to get out and meet others while keeping up their GPA, a real challenge for tough majors like engineering. Some engineers aren't the most social and stay locked in their dorms and study 24/7. SPD men are well balanced, and glad to have them on the campus.

I am an alumni from this fraternity. Our organization has the unique role of being both a social fraternity and a professional fraternity for the engineering career field. Not too may fraternities can say that. There used to be another professional engineering fraternity here (Triangle), but they went under around 2009. Sigma Phi Delta proudly represents the engineering profession and our alumni have done great things, both at work and as people. I am not knocking the other fraternities on campus, but Sigma Phi Delta fills a unique niche as the only engineering-centric greek organization here. I had friends at other fraternities on campus while a student, but don't regret associating with SPD.

Sigma Phi Delta is one of only three (3) engineering fraternities in the US and Canada (Sigma Phi Delta, Theta Tau, Triangle). Trine had another engineering fraternity until the 2000's (Triangle), but it's no longer there. Sigma Phi Delta is unique in the sense that it's both social and professional. Some people on site complained about lack of diversity, but this organization is set up as an engineering fraternity. Engineering is one of the toughest majors, so a B average in engineering can be considered equal to an A in something much less challenging like sociology or psychology. For the record, I am alumni of this fraternity.

"Professional Engineering Fraternity" Low GPA, small house, a small number of guys, but they have lit pretzels and work with what they got and throw ragers.
