No one but GPhi knows exactly what happened with the hazing scandal. All the rest of us know is that there was hazing. That's public info so they can't really deny it. The details are all gossip though. I won't pretend to know what really happened.

They have poor sisterhood even aside from the hazing. Every sorority has cliques but Gamma phi takes it to a whole new level. My ex roommate was in gphi and the only reason she stayed in it was because her letters = popularity. She literally had 0 friends in her house. All her best friends were girls in a house that was pretty much the opposite of gphi. If you're gonna do that, just join another house. Joining a house because of their coolness factor is ridiculous.

I have a lot of close friends in gphi and they all love being in it. Nobody knows what a sorority's sisterhood is like unless they are a part of it themselves. People have said things about my house's sisterhood being bad also but it's not at all and we know that. Also I know what happened with the hazing scandal and it was minor. It was between a few girls and not the chapter as a whole. Sooo many things are considered hazing and this was. The school found out so the whole chapter got in trouble. It actually brought the girls closer together working through it and trying to improve and grow from the situation. They are now off probation. This website is really useless if you're looking for information on the sororities. It's a few mean girls who post. In reality most girls are friends with girls in every house. They all honestly have a lot of the same positive similarities and negative similarities. You just have to join where you feel most comfortable during rush in the short amount of time. Think about their values and philanthropies as well. That's a major thought that should go into joining a house because you want to be somewhere that you actually enjoy participating in or else you'll hate having to attend mandatory events and stuff. And also, every chapter at UA is great. If any of them were really so horrible they wouldn't be able to keep their members because if someone is unhappy they WILL drop. Nobody would stay in something for all 4 years if it made them unhappy.
