what not to do

fall for the fakeness of certain houses and DON'T LET ACTIVES FACEBOOK MESSAGE YOU during recrutment... they don't deserve you and you should report them to your recruitment counselor. Seriously know a house that did this to several pnms.... I would feel so bribed lol. It's complete trickery. Follow your heart and go where you have the gut feeling. One weeks isn't enough time to fall in love sometimes but join the house you see yourself falling in love. I was down to two top houses. One I saw myself falling in love and one I saw myself either falling in love or it turning out to be fake and me hating it. So glad I went with the one I saw myself only loving. Don't bad mouth other houses to a house you like... you will look like an idiof. Don't treat houses you don't like badly so they'll drop you. It's just plain awkward and mean. The actives are just as nervous as you and to belittle a house and act like you are above them when you haven't even gotten a bid yet... GAG.

Don't be fake, houses can see right through that, and even if they don't you don't want to join having them think you are something that you are not.
Have good conversations, we talk to so many people through out the day, it stands out if you have a good conversation past, I'm a freshman living in this dorm with this major.
Don't listen to other PNMs, PNMs like to think they know everything about every house, because they did all their "research" on Greek Rank, if you like a house, who cares if someone else thinks they are "insert whatever rumor here", recruitment is about YOU join the house you like, not the house everyone else says you should like, . More than likely unless you join the same house, you really won't see any of your RC group again.
Don't be rude to houses you don't like, they tell other houses and that can seriously hurt you during recruitment with houses you do like
Don't get your hopes up on one particular house. Chances are you won't get called back to every house you like. Keep an open mind.
Just be yourself, be cute, have an open mind, and have great conversations.
