DTD on campus?

by: T

What’s the scoop with DTD? I heard they have been back for quite some time and are still a colony under 20 people. Why has such a historically prominent house been struggling with recruitment and retention?

They don’t have a house on campus and currently has such a small number. Being in a fraternity is best freshman through junior year, so you only get 3 years of prime time. If you join any already established house you can make the best of your 3 years. If you join DTD you gotta spend your whole 4 years just setting stuff up so maybe the next guys will enjoy their time. National support is great but other houses already have 120+ members and National support. And without a house on row it’s hard to climb back and get good members. Then the streak just continues

Because without having a house, it’s hard to recruit good/a lot of guys, and because you can’t recruit good guys, only the goobers end up joining. It’s a cycle
