When rushing, do fraternities possibly decide who they will bid based upon the individuals looks/appearance?

Have you seen some of the “top tier” brothers on campus? The answer is a resounding no. Lots of 5s and below in top houses.

I’m not gonna lie, it absolutely does help, even if it’s a subconscious thing that the guys notice about you.

But the truth is, if you’re a cool guy, and the members like hanging out with you, and you have something of value to bring to the house, you can get a bid from wherever you want, no matter what you look like.

Rush Chair got it right got the most part. BUT .. The top 3 or 4 houses at U of A are really competitive. And, they know it. For the most part they can pick whoever they want to represent them. Top houses get the best guys-with the best grades, connections, extracurriculars and of course looks don’t hurt. The further down the rankings you go -the less picky the house will be.
