How does everyone feel about this being gone? How have the guys felt about it? How do you think it will affect SAE?

thing happened to SigEp, I doubt SAE here will really change anything, but it's still a rough hit. Hopefully more nationals don't try and start these programs.

It's the sign of the times. This will become the new process going forward by many more Nationals in the next few years. The "sign On The Dotted Line" will soon replace the traditional bids.

Zbt and sig ep both have non pledging programs nationally. Nothing new especially since the national chapter is next to bankruptcy with all the lawsuits and closed chapters.

I think it will be interesting to see how our local chapter handles this. They have to be initiated by Sunday.. I feel so, so bad for what SAE is devising for them tomorrow to fit an entire pledge process in one day for them on Saturday and then RIP to SAE pledging forever I guess. But it is true, both ZBT and whatever the hell a Sig ep is nationally banned hazing not too long ago for the same reasons. It won't surprise me if other fraternities follow suit and their national chapters jump the gun.

It was only a matter of time before SAE National Board was going to ban pledging from their membership. I guess the Bloomberg Report last year citing SAE as the nations "deadliest fraternity" was the last straw.

This blows but I'm not surprised, every time you hear about a hazing death it's SAE. Hopefully other nationals don't cop on but I'm worried.

I have a feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg. I see in the next several years, many Inter/National Fraternities will start following the same path. I guess this will become the new membership development program going forward. God help us!!!!
