Sorority rush as a Junior year transfer

by: Junior

Is it worth it to rush as a transfer student going into junior year? Is that an automatic cut for some sororities? I have a good gpa and I’m coming from a school with no sororities, not a community college, if that matters

You definitely can! I know girls that have. And if you feel like you missed out on the sisterhood experience I say go for it! That being said, it will be a bit harder to get a bid at a "top house". Greek Life is ultimately a business, and a house is less likely to get a return on investment of a bid- both financially and impact on the house- from a junior vs a freshman. However, you can definitely still get a bid, and if you are a top applicant you can still get a bid anywhere. Best of luck!
