Better odds in fall or spring fraternity
by: Incoming freshmanDo you have better chances of getting a bid in the fall or spring.

If you are someone that wants the whole experience (whatever that will be) I would recommend going through recruitment in the fall. In my experience you will normally be tighter with your PC than the spring COBS are- although chapters do their best trying to make you feel included. Plus, normally your first fall is one of the most fun times. Fall PC's are like 100-140 whereas spring have maybe like 10 depending on the chapter and some chapters will have zero depending on the year. Of any year next year may make sense to wait until we better know what everything will look like though. But if you are someone that wants a smaller more casual feel spring may be the way to go, but you may also have to put in some work contacting different houses recruitment chairs. Also, you will run the risk of not having every chapter available. Go into recruitment however you would like, but I would recommend not making my decision on when you would most likely get a bid. You should want to fit in well enough with the people you are spending the next 4 years with that it won't matter when you go through recruitment.
