hard to get into?

Just be really energetic and act really interested and dress nice with nice hair and makeup. Also practice having convos with random people if that's not something youre good at. It's not hard if you are pretty make yourself memorable and can carry a conversation. Honestly though, at the end of the day, do not go into rush with one house in mind. You will end up where you belong. Every house here at UA has something to offer. It won't make a difference when you are at a party and a guy asks you what house you are in. If you're cute, you're cute. Join a house you feel comfortable in, don't lie to yourself just because you had a pre judgement about the houses from a site like this.

If you have to ask that probably means you are not from a place where there are lots of people already here and you don't know anybody.... so why would you come here? Lots of greeks here are all from the same towns especially from Cali after AZ. and Rush is super competitive and if you don't already know that getting a bid from a top three is very difficult then rethink coming here or broaden your choices of houses,there are others you know.

1. Go into recruitment with an open mind. Girls who don't are usually disappointed.
2. At UofA it is more about who you know in chapters.
3. UofA is competitive. There were 1400 girls who went through this year.
4. Look the part. The best advice I got was to look at the clothing option Panhellenic gives you then step it up a notch.

That one poster was right, I'm the one who wrote the topic and I live in virginia and am coming here next year without knowing a single person, so that's why i was wondering if that would hurt me enough to not get in to those houses

I just joined and I didn't know anyone here and am in one of the top houses. As long as you are yourself and honest with what house you are vibing with you will be fine. Don't worry, what's meant to be will be and you will love the experience. The whole part of rushing is to figure out where you fit in best and feel most at home. DO NOT base your decision on anything you read on this website because at the end of the day you have to live with your decision and this site won't dictate your happiness.
