Lmao if a pnm came up to me during fraternity rush and made a point of trying to tell me how rich their parents are (subtle or not) rather than who they are as a person or why they’d fit in with the house I’d immediately mark them as cut. I’d 10/10 rather have a cool dude that fits in with the house wearing clothes from H&M or TJ Maxx rather than someone wearing all designer assuming that makes us want them more. I’m fairly confident sororities feel the same if they care at all about upholding the value of sisterhood.

Gotcha. Didn’t mean to come at ya so harsh. If you’re at rush they’ll assume you can afford dues, especially if you don’t ask about payment plans. Don’t worry about having to show you can afford it, it’s already assumed. Especially at the UofA

I’m a girl! I’m from out of state, I just meant like if I wear a Gucci belt or a LV belt or like bring my lv/clutch purse, I know NOT to bring up my parents wealth I was just wanting to know the best way to subtlety do it I want them to know I CAN afford the fees.
