sorority letters of rec

i was just wondering from the perspective of sororities does it actually matter if you get letters of recommendation? i know it varies from school to school so i thought i would check

It CANNOT hurt. It may onlyvget you a second look or an invite back—but it gets your name and a little about you in front of a group before they even meet you. And while it varies, some houses ABSOLUTELY require a recommendation before you’re offered a bid.
