minimum high school gpa for fraternities?

by: PotentialRush

My friend said there was a minimum high school GPA I would need to get into a fraternity. Do they seriously look at that? Thanks for the help.

3.0 and above your chillin, I think 2.5 is the ifc minimum. A lot of houses take dirty bids though if your gpa is too low

It depends on how much they like you, my house will usually make a gpa cut the first round if we have too many guys we liked.

Basically we will cut anyone below X GPA, or anyone with less than X number of "points." But someone with a lot of likes and a lower gpa can make it through that first round, depending on how low the gpa is.

Is it worth going through the rush process if your GPA is too low?

houses can get fined for taking PNM’s will low GPA’s because each house has a required GPA and if you don’t meet that number, they’re most likely not gonna take you. if you have a 3.0 or above, you’re in a good spot.

If a house likes you enough they’ll give you an under the table bid to avoid the fine. Nothing different from a regular one, you just won’t get the official invitation like everyone else

if they like you enough you’re good but the closer you are to a 3.0 the better
