fraternity descriptions

To start off, I have not been to all of the fraternities so if your fraternity is not on this list do not get offended. Also, I think all the fraternities have both good and bad things going for them, but I made this list to elaborate on them:

Top Houses (No order)
Pike- Has good parties and attractive guys who hit the gym a lot, however they are kind of stuck up to a lot of girls. Took an alright pledge class, as far as their previous years, but still good enough to stay a top house. They have good relations with sororities and if they keep it up they will stay a top house.

Sig Chi- I would say they have some of the best parties, but their courtyard tends to get annoying because it isn’t that big and your constantly having to bump into people. The guys are not as muscular as Pike or Theta Chi, but they still have attractive guys. They took a better pledge class than Pike in the fall, but their spring class was kind of weird.

Theta Chi- Since my freshman year, Theta Chi has constantly rose in the rankings, but their is always rumors of them getting kicked off. They haven’t yet and I think they have the best overall guys as far as looks and personalities. Their typical frat stars. Also, they took the best pledge class this year. Their parties are not as good as Sig Chis or Pikes, but their is rumors they got a brand new house next year.

Beta- They have pretty good parties, but do not throw them to often. Their guys are chill, but they are not on the level of Pike, Sig Chi, or Theta Chi. They took a decent pledge class, but I think their pledge classes in the past were way better. Their house is fun because it’s more of a traditional fraternity house that’s off the row. Like Theta Chi, they are the typical frat stars of U of A.

Middle houses (no order)
ZBT- They definitely have fun parties but their guys are a little weird, however their still is a bunch of good looking guys. Their pledge class was not as good as some of the other houses, but they are still an upper middle tier house. Other girls would agree that ZBT is a solid house and they could be on the rise if they take a good pledge class in the fall.

PiKapp- I think as far as rising, PiKapp rose the most this year in terms of social events. Their parties are fun and they took a good pledge class, but the problem is that their upper classmen are weird guys, which hurts them as a house. I think they will continue to rise if they take another good pledge class, but for now I still consider them a middle tier house.

Sammy- They have a nice house and fun parties, but the guys are not as chill as some of the other houses. They didn’t really throw a bunch of parties this year, which definitely hurt their reputation. Unless they start having more events and take a good pledge class, I think they will fall in the rankings.

AEPI- they are not the same house they were my freshman year, but they still throw fun events and have good guys. Their pledge class was not as strong as previous years, which made their reputation as a upper middle house vanish. They got in some trouble this year, but did not get kicked off, so let’s see how they do next year.
