Several U of A Sorority members from affluent families were identified by federal prosecutors for cheating on their entrance exams and bribing athletic coaches to secure admission to Arizona. Does anyone know which sororities these girls were JUST KIDDING, NO ONE WOULD EVER BRIBE THEIR WAY INTO A THIRD TIER TOILET SCHOOL LIKE ARIZONA, YOU CAN BE LITERALLY MENTALLY RETARDED AND SHOW UP DRUNK FOR THE SATS AND STILL GET IN HAHAHAHAHA WHAT A GARBAGE SCHOOL

a lot of people go here for reasons such as money - they have good grades and are given a great scholarship to go here. get your head out of your ass. and just because a school has a high admission rate doesn’t mean it’s a garbage school. it just gives more kids opportunities. get a life pls.

There's a reason why they call Arizona a Public Ivy University...we attract the best and brightest students and combine with the academic rigor and superstar faculty of an Ivy League school. Basically you get an Ivy League experience without the insane price tag. I have friends at Harvard and Yale and they wish they went to the U of A because then they won't be paying off their student loans literally until age 80. It's stupid to compare top tier schools anyway, good schools are good schools.

Lol nobody calls Arizona that. People think about like Cal, UCLA, Michigan, etc. not Arizona as public Ivies. It’s a good school and can lead to great opportunities but let’s not be ridiculous here it still mainly has a party school rep.

U of A and ASU each have their strengths. ASU is easier to get into.
U of A is not lower than CSUs. CSUs are impacted, not better. And, some are not great at all.
Certainly equal to UCSC and UCR.
Possibly bottom half of PAC 12, but so are any other non-CA schools.
Achievements have a lot to do with grants, endowments and PR. AZ schools could step up PR. Just not as well publicized.
