rushing as a junior

by: Junior rushee

Hey guys! I'm rushing as a junior, and I hear that a lot of sororities don't accept girls unless they are freshman (Alpha phi and Pi Phi). I'm friends with a lot of girls in different sororities, so what do you think the chances are for me to get a fair chance at a good house? Thanks a ton!

Honestly no one really knows :( Those two sororities do have that reputation but no one (unless you're in that sorority) knows why that is so. Trust the system you will be in the house you belong in! I promise i know it sounds cheesy but it really works! A lot of houses take juniors so don't worry! Good luck with recruitment!

Rushing as a junior is very uncommon and the top houses do not ever take juniors unless you are rockstar material. They don't need or want a member for only two years. That is the truth, so maybe, and that's a big maybe, you can get in a middle house, but probably a lower house that will take what they can get. Sorry to sound harsh, but that is the truth.

You never know though I know at least three beautiful ladies that have gotten in to their dream houses as juniors. However three out of however many juniors go through recruitment is still probably a pretty low number.
Just be yourself, the worst that they can say is no.

consider "multi-cultural sororities", they are usually desperate for numbers

This is a Joke right? There's no point in joining a mulit-cultural sorority. You are better off not joining anything. "It's social suicide" On the real! Go through rush and who knows, If the girls in the top the sororities like you then you might get in :)

Surprisingly, I know a senior who was able to get a big from a top house. She just graduated though. Never say never!
