sororities meal plan

So if i wanna join a sorority, and lets say I’ll pay $2000 including meal plan. What if I don’t want to eat at the house? Will they reduce the price? Also does the $2000 include events, parties, and shirts? Or do i pay for those separately.

It depends on the house but in general it is usually really hard to get out of the meal plan. The pricing is what it is because we expect a certain number of people to pay into it. If fewer people participated, the price would go up for everyone. Events (except formals) and rush shirts are included in dues but additional shirts, mugs, photos, gifts, trips, etc. are extra. Again, it depends on the house.

Can I opt out from the meal plan if I have special dietary needs? I'm vegan and am also eat gf and low sugar foods for health reasons.

it's hard to get a good idea of what your dues go towards because the breakdown is different for every house. contact panhellenic, they can give you a better idea so it won't be awkward to ask during recruitment.
