rush question
by: Potential PNMCan you still be in a house if you don't drink? What houses are ok with that?
#2 by: honestly
I am going to be honest if you do rush it will be hard because literally everyone does it, it is how most girls bond and sometimes it may seem to the other girls like you think you are "good" to drink so it could be off putting but that was just my experience. Houses are really a hit or miss it just depends on your pledge class. Good luck!

If you rush and you don't drink houses aren't going to know that unless you bring it up to them randomly during a conversation. But during rush drinking is a topic that never comes up because it's not aloud to discuss that so the girls you talk to will have no idea you don't drink. The closes to a party discussion with someone will be discussing "oh the girls and I love to dress up to go out" or "tailgates are my favorite". It may be a little bit of an issues once you get your bid and everyone is planning on going out the night of sylly week to drink but most likely you'll get put into a house that will fit you, meaning girls aren't going to start an issue on something you choose to do. If you don't participate in PC parties that might be an issues because it looks bad for a house when girls don't show up so just be sure to be involved! But being in a sorority is being involved in the activities so don't go into recruitment if you don't plan to participate in the events and philanthropys.

frat or sorority? you didn't say which. but yes, you can still be in a house and not drink. just keep in mind that you will probably be the designated driver for like, everyone. also being the only sober person when everyone else is drunk is not my idea of fun but if it works for you then go for it.
