why is it so weird when people say they’re a gdi?

Why do people get weird if you say you’re not in a frat or sorority here? I️ get I️t it’s a huge thing at UA but so many people I️ know drop “top houses” and aren’t happy with the house they’re in.

pretty much just an easy conversation point and to see if you know mutual people.

If you respond with "I'm not in one," you basically just killed the conversation and now the person that asked you has to find something totally different to talk about. The equivalent of someone asking how you're doing and responding "average." GDIs should figure out a way to respond to this question so that it keeps the conversation going.

It's weird when people say they're a geed but you think they are lying and actually in AKL or something.
