tier movement?

What changes do you think are coming for frats and sororities?
Like who is moving up, who is moving down, who is coming back and so on..

Sororities:

Kappa is slowly rising and they will be a top house in the next few years.
Alpha Phi is slowly falling, the babies this year aren't as great as junior pc and they gave out snap bids at fall recruitment and participated in spring recruitment which is unheard of by a top house.
Theta will eventually return to being a top house...someday...

Frats:

Sigma Chi is supposedly building a amazing house next year so thats cool. They got the best spring pledge class by far. I see them rising to top soon.
I think Kappa Sig will be upper middle tier next year since they get there house back and they are already going to spring fling with DG. I can see them in top tier by 2015
SAE is slowly falling. The spring pledge class sucks and they don't put effort into anything.
Is D Chi coming back?

I wonder if AXO will be any good. They are really good in cali and east coast.

Kappa is only getting better because they dirty rushed last year. They gave oral bids to the best girls so the girls knew they would get in and put them as their top choice during pref night. AND they had a 10 day practice, which is now illegal. Still known as the ordinary house.

I agree a phi is falling.

Who is considered "Top Houses" now anyways? Does it ever change?

AXO is strong nationally and getting their old house back...I could see them having a really successful return. Of course, that also depends on how outgoing their new members are come fall.

Frats: Sigma Chi is losing there house and not very many ppl will rush them because of that so they are going down. Kappa sig is on the rise only because they cant really go down. Dtd is getting better and Dchi has a good spring pc so they are going up.

Kappa Sig and Fiji are pretty much the fraternities that will stay top tier throughout time at Arizona because of their history and alumni. The rest will fluctuate to an extent until they establish themselves the same way.

isn't near top tier right now. Maybe they will be in a few years, but to say a house will stay on top when they aren't even on top currently doesn't make much sense.

They aren't top tier because they barely got back on. I think the point is that they will generally always be top tier at Arizona as opposed to other fraternities that won't always inevitably become top tier.

That's what he meant, sure, and they did just get back, but whether or not they will return to the top remains to be seen. You can't make the assumption they'll bounce right back to top tier, or that the others will fall, maybe it'll happen, maybe it won't. They'll rise, but how much is still in question.

Sigma Nu is another Frat that was good for a long time, they've been absent from campus for a while though.

Not sure what happened to Phi Delt, they were really good for like 50 years, now they have like 15 members.

ATO was also a somewhat solid house.

sorrorities wise kappa, dg and sk are on the rise while pi phi and alpha phi are both on the decline

frats wise pike is on the rise while sae is on the fall

times are def changing in the world of sorority tiers. this is how i think it will go maybe two or three years down the road (excluding axo):

kkg
dg
aphi
sk
gphi
adpi
theta
tridelt
chi o
aephi

people should be more open minded and not focus on reputations of the past. this year and last years pledge classes alone show a lot of improvement/downgrade for at least half of the houses.

1. Pi Kapp (they're gone but still here... It will take at least 2 more years for them to be forgotten)

And everyone who says KAPPA SIG is a top house really knows nothing about UofA greek life. All new frats starting out suck. But they will get better faster than most frats because they get to start with a sick house.

Theyre still gonnna rage next year and girls will love the guys who were in it forever. It really sucks that the school would get rid of such a respected house. War of Roses. Late nights. HOTTEST GUYS i've ever seen. These guys ran UofA and they did it in a way that made everyone love them rather than hate them. I've met some of the most genuine guys here. Its such a shame to see them go. And the kids who recently got initiated are all living together :) (hands down best PC this year)
