Please stop saying "not yet." You're clearly an ASA alum and that is incredibly disingenuous to pnms.
PNMs - ASA plans to remain at U of A as an unhoused sorority. Which is fine, but they are trying to trick pnms into thinking they will have a house in the future by saying vague things like "not yet."
Not only is there no real estate to purchase, ASA doesn't have the money or the plans to have a house.
They're planning on being a smaller, unhoused sorority. It will NOT be the typical Greek experience that you would get from the other 12 houses.

For now, ASA will not be housed, but that could change in a few years. Nothing is set in stone.

Actually no. Stop saying things like that. They have already made it clear they want to be an unhoused sorority. There is no real estate. They have no money. The ONLY reason ASA came to U of A to colonize is because they WANT to be an unhoused sorority.
Panhellenic wouldn't have accepted their bid to colonize if their intention was to eventually have property.
If you were actually there for the presentation you would know this.

How do you know what their finances are nationally? It seems that everyone posting on here has very little knowledge of what happening. Remember, things change over time.

Because they admitted they don't have the money! Were you there for their presentation? I'm guessing not since you're asking questions that they have already addressed.
Stop talking if you don't know what you're talking about.

Here's the truth.
ASA is planning on being an unhoused sorority indefinitely. They have no plans or desire to purchase a house for its members.
They will be a smaller sorority, and will not offer the typical Greek experience that the other 12 houses offer.
Back in 2013, when AXO was colonizing, it was different. They had a house, they wanted lots of members, etc. I would have encouraged pnms to interview for the colony if recruitment didn't go as planned for them.
However, ASA is VERY different from AXO. ASA will not give you the sorority experience you are looking for. Unless what you are looking for is a small group of girls who do not have a house and do not participate in formal recruitment. It's also a teachers sorority, meaning it was founded for teaching majors.

AXO is a music sorority. It was founded by music majors.
OP, if you want to live in a sorority house while you are at UA, you most likely will not get to do that if you join the ASA colony, due to the housing situation here. (Any new sorority no matter their national "tier" or financial situation will have a difficult time finding land/a house here, period.) However, they will still have all the other activities that sororities have like philanthropies and pairs with fraternities. It will definitely be a different experience but not as different as people on here are trying to make it seem.

Alpha Sigma Alpha began as a teachers sorority, but has evolved since their acceptance into the NPC back in 1951 and are now a regular social sorority with roots grown from many (now former) teaching colleges.
