If you are in aphi at another school and transfer to U of A, are you automatically in the aphi chapter at U of A?

I don't know what A Phi's policy is, but my chapter (and many sororities) has to vote to affiliate a transfer member. It's not an automatic thing.

LOL are you trying to join at a school where it's easy to join and then transfer into a top tier chapter?

Alpha phi will vote on whether or not to affiliate you. If you're not Arizona Alpha Phi material you will not be able to join. Simple as that. I've seen it happen.

And what is the voting process like? Do they get to meet you? Or do they just see a picture of you? How does it work?

Are you seriously asking me what Alpha Phi's voting process is like? If you were an Alpha Phi you would know!!! The transfer process starts by talking to the president of your current chapter. Alpha Phi's voting process is a secret.

I get the sense you're not even an Alpha Phi yet.

No she needs to contact Alpha Phi. Panhellenic won't be able to give her the information she wants. Each sorority has their own policy. If OP was actually in Alpha Phi she would know how it works.

Bingo. She needs to call Alpha Phi nationals and the UofA chapter to inquire about affiliation, it's not rocket science.

If she's actually an Alpha Phi, she could just ask her president because they're the ones who initiate the transfer process. Presidents usually have to formally recommend a member to the chapter they want to transfer to.

However, OP is clearly not an actual Aphi.
