Is it even possible to get a bid to a middle/lower tier house with a gpa a little below 2.75?

Definitely not a middle tier house. Lower tier, yes. I know girls who have done it.

Girls may have been legaceys/ and or had reasons for having no that GPA and the chapter decided they absolutely had to have them. Don't count on being a grade risk and getting into a house during rush it's very competitive here

Lower tier houses like tri delt who are struggling for numbers so badly they will take anyone. That's probably your only chance at a sorority. I know girls with bad gpas like that that were dropped by every single house but tri delt after the first round. However I rushed with a 2.8 and got a bid to a different lower tier house which I love.

I'm in tri delta and while its true we have lower standards for gpa, last year we did cut a lot of grade risks before pref.

Maybe that's why you guys suck. Take some pretty girls who happen to be grade risks. It might help you improve.

Honestly if your GPA is that low, your time may be better spent hitting the books. Smarten up, ffs.

a 2.8 from high school? that's bad because high school is easy. Maybe try in the spring and spend the fall padding your gpa

Meh, I had a hard time in high school. It had nothing to do with how hard it was. I was just struggling with other things which affected my grades. I did fine with grades once I got to college. Not saying PNMs should use excuses for their bad gpas (I didn't) but they need to be open minded and take what they can get. Like I did. And I'm perfectly happy with my house.
