Could New SigEp re-integrate with underground SigEp to help with numbers, morale, and finances?

1. new Sig Ep needs members, and Underground Sig can provide these.

2. new Sig Ep has administrative recognition, and Sig could benefit from that.

3. new Sig Ep has insurance and educational/leadership opportunities, and Sig could use these.

When SigEp nationals cleared out the old membership down to zero (but didn't revoke the charter) who recruited and initiated the new guys? Overall highly unusual.

They can shut down the chapter but the school can't expel the students. All the brothers continued to rush classes from off campus houses

Nationals kicked out ALL of the members of the official chapter but did not revoke the charter. There was then nobody in "the chapter" to rush and offer bids to new guys. So what happened? SigEp national reps came in and offered bids to new guys. National bylaws don't allow that except for the first pledge class of COLONIES. But there was never a recolonization process and rechartering. Maybe the "official" members aren't so official after all.

"Fraternity Operations Director Irby recalled that SigEp has closed 46 chapters over the past six years while only starting 22 new chapters. He summarized that, of the 22, many have failed to meet basic expectations and reach their full potential. SigEp currently has 19 Sigma Epsilon Chapters – several of them continue to fall short of current chartering criteria and others have been SECs for more than five years, well beyond SigEp’s desired window for chartering."
