Top 3- SAE is the closest thing Northwestern has to the quintessential "top house"-best looking, rich, best rush etc. etc. Pike- ragers with very good organization and sororities relations, hazes hard. Sigma Chi- "good guy" top tier- diverse, rich, great sororities relations.
Middle tier- I made the differentiation after the top 3 because as much as ZBT and Phi Psi's members think they're top tier, they simply are not. Sure, they both have great social relations with top tier sororities but that's about it. Their houses are subpar, they aren't outstanding in campus involvement like the top 3, and simply are not as selective. Phi Delt- stoner, hipster (rising) mid tier fraternity. most well rounded of the mid tier, but take kids who just are not about top tier life (and that is perfectly okay). Could see them pass Phi Psi and ZBT in coming years. Beta- middle tier version of Pike, lacking the sororities relations and organizational structure. Delt- epitome of mid tier- very decent at everything and reasonably successful with parties, philanthropy and sorority relations while only 4 years old. Could see rise over Beta because of effort. SigNu- mid tier version of SigChi. up from last year because of new house and improved rush success from last year, 3 years old and rising. Aepi- very well run,

SAE remains top
ZBT should be moved to top tier (especially after how well they rushed this week)
Beta/Delt/AEPI all had very solid rushes
Sig Nu had only single digits drop bids on the first night...indicates that they should be more on delta chi/lambda chi level

Lambda Chi sells itself on being a smaller, more closely knit brotherhood. They got quality wins from multiple houses, turned away several people rush week and over the course of the quarter, and accepted few walkins, while only taking 1 less than DX. They clearly won between the two this year and can't be compared to the bottom three.

After 4 days of rush here is the updated rankings:
SAE remains top with ZBT second
Pike had a big class (33) but took a lot of kids just for numbers due to previous small classes
Sig Chi struggled this year as they lost many kids to SAE and Pike
Phi Psi also struggled this year during rush while Phi Delt pulled a normal class for their standards
Beta Delt and Sig Nu all pulled classes above 25 with some iffy kids and some solid kids so we'll see the general feel in those classes later
AEPi was an average class after a strong first day
Lambda pulled in a larger class for their standards (20) but still far behind the others
