Does dropping out of pledging before you are initiated hurt your chances at getting a bid from other frats the following year? I'm starting to think the frat I dropped at isn't the right fit.

I'm not sure how... I just want to know whether or not other frats would look down on me not activating when rushing.

As long as you explain why you dropped I would imagine frats would still take you the following year. I've never encountered this so maybe an upperclassman who has experienced it could help you.

I think you should just go ahead and initiate unless you absolutely hate every aaspect of the frat. Do you really want to go through rush again and as a junior?

I'm a freshman currently so I'd only be a sophmore rushing

Wondering the same thing. Is it harder to get a bid as a sophomore?
