Are athletes at Northwestern allowed to join fraternities and sororities?

Depends on the team. A lot of coaches don't let their athletes rush, but there's no overarching rule against athletes doing so.

there are definitely female varsity athletes in sororities - i can recall varsity swim, soccer, lacrosse, tennis and fencing specifically though i'm sure there are more.
