IFC, OCS, and FSL are to blame
by: delt 23greek life at Northwestern is so hosed. And you know why? IFC and FSL are totally feckless at protecting greek life. All the frats snitch on each other, IFC doesn't do anything to help greeklife and just watches it die. IFC exec is totally incompetent. The fraternities are dropping left and right, there's no chance NU has robust IFC greek life unless OCS stops absolutely rolling kids.

We need to normalize collegiate fun at this school. Seriously. IFC and OCS needs to take some notes from equivalent orgs at peer schools and stop pummeling GL to its death. This war on GL is very shortsighted and will not benefit NU in the long run. Prospective students are drawn to NU because of our well-balanced nature. Trying to get rid of GL will throw this balance off and scare away prospective students and major donors alike (many big donors are GL alumni.) NU, IFC, and OCS need to realize that we are capable, intelligent adults, not little children. Yes GL isn't for everyone, but there is a LARGE number of us are dedicated to reform and have had amazing GL experiences.
