when are bids given out

i've been hearing a lot about fraternities being on probation, no idea where I can get a good idea of what's going on. but when does the bid process start? friends at U of I are already in frats.

First week of winter quarter are when bids are given out, but it’s recommended you meet guys in the fall and develop a relationship so you get a bid
