Genuine question about srat rush

So I'm currently rushing a couple sororities and I'm a little confused. They all seem kind of the same (value sisterhood, philanthropy, academics, committed to diversity following the events of this summer). They even say a lot of the same things, but they're supposedly very different. I've been going to sorority info sessions and having a couple one on one chats, but these girls (understandably) seem to be putting their best foot forward and I don't feel like I genuinely know what their sororities are about. I've heard people say they felt more connected to a certain philanthropy, but would I really be so crazy to say I'd be happy helping people with cystic fibrosis and also battered women? Or people say they just KNOW. How do people know which sorority is for them?
I don't feel like I'm getting a great idea of what it'd be like to be part of these sororities and whether I'd be happy with them. I was already a little unsure about rushing and I'm not sure if this is a sign that it might not be for me. ): I thought I might have a better chance of asking here because it's anonymous and you guys don't really have anything to lose by being truthful.
TLDR; Is the fact that I don't innately know which sorority is for me mean I shouldn't continue with rush? Is there a way to REALLY get to know what each sorority is about?

google fratPAC + check opensecrets to see who their donations went to. the point is that fratPAC supports legislators who support causes that many members of sororities/frats are against
how do i know? I do my research. that's all :)

There’s one rule for PNMs that should be at the top of your list: Find your people. They’re out there. (But doing it by Zoom or whatever is harder!)
Things to consider:
1. Try to get a sense of the sisterhood because that’s what the mutual support system is built on and support is what you’re going to need most during your four years here.
2. You’re here to study. A house known for partying might not be the best house for you. (OK. Yawn...!)
3. All the philanthropies are worthy causes. They should be a non-factor unless you have a personal preference based on your own history. The tell, though, is how the members of the sorority talk about it - caring enthusiasm or Inter/National says we have to do it... That tells you something about them, not the philanthropy.
4. If you don’t get a bid from your favorite house, maybe that wasn’t the place for you. Remember that a house that gives you a bid has decided that you - YOU - would be a great addition to their sisterhood. That’s something important to consider.

To Well actually: Sorry you had a bad experience. Not all of us have. Be happy with your decision to leave and let others be happy with theirs to stay or to join - or not.
Couple of corrections
1. Sororities have much lower insurance rates than fraternities because of the difference in policies on alcohol. That’s the main reason the rule still exists, not some outdated definition of a “lady.”. Sororities also have risk-management programs, which I doubt the French Club or WAMU have. A little guidance isn’t a completely bad thing for a young undergrad. Take it or leave it. You left it. Fine. Now let it go.
2. Greek dues do not go to PACs. PACs are separately funded by private donations. And who are these “conservative” ones you’re talking about? The only one I know about has been working on legislation to give Greek houses the same status as dorms when it comes to donations. Nothing “conservative” about that.
And how do I know this stuff? I made it a point to ask people whose job it is to have the answers. Always a good idea.
