by: jafjdfjcan anyone who is in greek life here give an update to those of us who class of 24/ transfers? whats the current consensus of the greek community at NU, do the majority of current members of greek life want to abolish it? more details the better pls

my sororitys had a lot of deactivations and wont be rushing a new class. my friends srats have experienced the same thing. the frats are going through this too but to a lesser extent. at Id say at least half want to abolish. Imo, at this point there isn’t much reason to rush even if it happened

If you know anyone in a fraternity hit them up and ask what their plan for rush is - sophomores usually handle rush in most fraternities FYI. If you don't know anyone in greek life you can try messaging fraternity social media accounts. You should be able to get in touch with some members that way.

Reach out to the fraternity via FSL website and find the presidents email, or find their social media and dm them

don't know why ppl are lying to these kids in '24 -- in the old top tier, tridelt only has 5 members and voted to disband, theta only has a handful. in the middle/lower tier, zeta and gphi both voted to disband. yes nationals could come back and recruit but the fact is that greek life (at least sororities) are NOT what they used to be and likely not worth rushing. come at me if you want but these are just facts
