This school made me hate myself
by: Kid
I like to think that I’m a nice guy with something to offer. But because I didn’t know how integral Greek life was to having a social life at this school when I got here, and hence I opted out, everyone and anyone that’s cool treated me like I didn’t exist. It was impossible to make friends, because as I learned later, all the cool kids went Greek, and the ones left over were all, well, just kind of weird. Yes, there are other organizations that you can join. But real girls, cool guys, they’re nowhere to be found outside of the frats and sororities.
All this goes to say that if you’re coming to this school and you want to have an actual life, you need to go Greek. But if you do, there’ll likely be a whole set of personal beliefs that you have to sacrifice in order to become a part of that system. The choice is yours.
