Disaffiliating is up to Morty and PHA

Stop pressuring individual 18 year olds to give up their housing. Most ppl leading this movement have benefitted/ gone to formals/ rushed/ dropped/ etc. the choice to actually make a change is up to MORTY and Adult officials. While some of the teens and 21 year olds can make SOME change. The Instagram account is doing nothing but pressuring, guilting, and tearing women down and against each other. Everyone wants a better more inclusive Northwestern, but that starts with higher ups deciding they don’t need Greek loving alum donors, not with telling POC women they aren’t POC if they stay in their srat.
No one joined a frat or seat to save humanity just like lots of ppl didn’t join theatre boards to actually stage manage or kesem to save the world even though all three of these clubs do AMAZING fundraising in their own ways and try to better their lives by filling it with purpose and activities

No club on this campus is inclusive. I got cut from Kesem and my mom had cancer. Comparing the two isn’t fair tho that is Branded as a philanthropy club, with frats and stats are BRANDED as SOCIAL CLUBS. Also unless you break the rules you have a 99% chance of getting into Greek life. That’s more inclusive than any other club space on this campus.
I might be in a “low tier srat” but it was the ONLY club I got into as a freshman and I made my best friends in it I am a POC and I feel guilty for loving this space because of the hurt it has cause so many.... I feel sad and confused and betrayed by so many ppl and systems on this campus

Thank you for sharing this! I agree 100% that all clubs are not always what they are advertised to be. I struggled so hard socially my freshman year and still struggled when i first got into my sorority (upper-mid tier) in January. It was only when I embraced the community was I able to truly see the good in it and how caring everyone in my sorority is. Without the love and support of my sisters this past year my mental health would probably have made me drop out of NU (and maybe college for good). The support in this community saved me from getting to this bad place
