Fraternity rankings could change a lot over next 2-3 years because Lodge and SigEp have been shut down. These were two very popular houses and their loss will be some other fraternity's gain.
Who's got the most to gain ?
(1) Most to Gain
Phi Delt - Strong pledge class last year. Strong national presence. Chance to make a break-though move.
Sigma Chi - Similar position to Phi Delt.
(2) Moderate chance to improve/benefit
ZBT - Solid house, but giving up quality control with 40 member pledge class last year. Morty Shapiro's favorite, so that's a positive.
Beta - Good parties. But what about the quality of the brotherhood.
(3) Least to gain
SAE - They are already viewed as a top house, so not much to gain. And, it's unlikely they will expand their pledge class to soak up the excess demand from former potential Sig Ep and Lodge prospects.
Pike - Stand a better chance vs SAE mainly bc last year's pledge class was small. Pike is already viewed as a top social house, so not that much more to gain.

To anyone who has a knowledge-based opinion: (1) Which fraternities have the best sorority mixers/exchanges and (2) Which fraternities have the best signature social / fundraising events ? I know that SAE has Heaven & Hell with Theta (which they stole from Phi Psi years ago), Sigma Chi has Derby Day with DG and ZBT does Dance Marathon (also with DG). Any other signature events that stand out ?

Well they've been having quite a few parties and stuff this year, so I don't think they're on social anymore. They're still trouble with the school though according to the greek life northwestern page.
