giving bids to guys who first show up rush week?

by:

Didn't go to a ton of parties, don't know a ton of guys, but I'm still interested in rushing. Should I still rush even if I don't know anyone in the frat? Last year a frat gave out all their bids by the first event Tuesday, so should I avoid top tier if I have no chance in the first place? I'd rather get to know guys where I have a chance to get a bid than waste everyone's time. If that's the case, who should I avoid and who should I check out?

For example, I've been seeing a bunch of posts saying that pike, zbt, and sig chi already have their classes sorted out, so should I just not bother going to them rush week?

It is very unlikely ZBT, Sig Chi, or Pike would give you a bid as they already have their classes set for winter. If you try mid tier houses you can go around during rush week and get a bid.

Thanks for the response, any houses you recommend I check out? Also is the rush week schedule out yet? Haven't seen anything on the IFC FB page.

rush week schedule is all houses 5-7, 8-10 Monday to Wednesday. some might be invite only by Wednesday but you should be fine for the first two days and you’ll figure it out

In the past, most of the top houses have given out some bids to people they only met during formal rush week. Don't count yourself out.
