i’m sorry you’re unhappy with your house. however, unless you have a ton of friends in one house, results don’t really change year to year unless you have a major personality change. if all your friends are in one chapter then maybe you have a chance, but if you didn’t fit personality wise this year you probably won’t next year. just give your current house a shot because they thought you would fit and could be happy there. you already have to wait a whole year to get into another house, so it doesn’t hurt to see if you like your current house.

There is absolutely no reason to go through rush again. If a house didn’t want you then what makes you think that will change lol.

No bias against a sophomore going through for the first time. Recruitment Chairs are only biased against people who they know are doing it for the second time

If you got a bid, I highly recommend you at least give it a try up until initiation before making a decision, because that is a big decision and why not give the other 80+ people you didn't meet a chance and spend more than 30 minutes at a time there and now with people that are in the new pledge class? As for going through recruitment again, for most people that outcome isn't any different going through the second time around, houses that didn't ask you back/give you a bid aren't likely to change their minds.

I went through rush as a sophomore after rushing and dropping freshman year and had a really positive experience. Sometimes the system fails and your friends will vouch for you in their houses

The system does not fail. Just because your friends will vouch for you in the second year does not change the fact that the house did not want you the first year. Nor should anyone blindly accept being in a house that literally rejected you at one point. But whatever helps you sleep at dude

Have you actually gone through both sides of recruitment? Lots of great girls are fall through the cracks freshman year but come back sophomore year and get noticed. Lots.
