what do sororities even do?
by: ?What do sororities even do? Frats throw all the parties; what even is the point of sororities? Do they just get together as some sort of club? Or do people join sororities for cheaper food/rent.etc? I understand sisterhood, but how can sororities justify as high dues as frats when they don't even throw parties and don't even have as much liability (sororities are very rarely forced to pay million-dollar lawsuits, while they are more common in frats). To summarize, I don't understand the point of sororities and don't see how they are different from just a club.

omgggg it’s amazing being in a sorority I just rushed and I can honestly say it’s like every girl in my sorority in my mind already feels like a biological sister. all the nerds who say you can find things to do outside of greek life are super wrong don’t listen to them! being in a sorority is the best thing that has happened to me in my life!!!! trust the process, rush lets you get to know sisters extremely well and vice versa, and you will inevitably form super life long relationships and actually enjoy college!!

What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

True, I guess you are right about the sisterhood. There are a lot more fun things to do as part of a sorority than not in one, and as a group you get invited to a lot more formals.etc. that non-greeks aren't in. Also I'm trans, are trans allowed to rush sororities?
