cob
by: wonderingDoes anyone know how the COB process works exactly and has it started already? Is it the same thing as informal rush?

i don't think its a lot more competitive, you should try it out. you don't need anyone to recommend you, you just need to show interest and get along with the new class. the way it works is houses will hold cob events that you attend so they can get to know you, and a lot of the time the events have food which is nice. its a little bit like how frats rush. email pha and chapter recruitment chairs.

COB is definitely a lot more competitive than formal recruitment since there are many fewer spots. Sororities aren’t going to publicize that they’re holding events - unless someone recommended you, you signed the COB interest form, or you directly emailed a recruitment chair then you’re not going to be going to be getting a bid. So if you do get offered a chance to meet with a chapter, you should at least meet with them because there is no guarantee any other chapter will reach out to you.
If you want to do COB then email recruitment chairs or fill out the COB interest form.
