rush week

yo so I got into this whole frat thing a little late (two weeks ago) and I don't have any idea what rush week entails. I got 2-3 frats in mind I wanna rush but how do rush week and bids work?

Fraternities will have open events during bid week that will be dinner and some sort of activity/game. You don't need to be invited to go to them, but it could be hard to get a bid from some fraternities if you haven't met any brothers previously or hadn't already been rushing there. They give out bids at these events and should tell you if you aren't going to get one so that you can try rushing another fraternity. It's pretty important to meet brothers or freshmen who have already dropped their bids at these events to help your chances. There will be a schedule released with all the events/dinners and whether or not they are open
