explanation of sorority cob

COB stands for continuous open bidding. It's informal rush.
There's this thing called total, which is the average # of girls in sororities. If a sorority is below total, they're allowed to COB to get up to total. Some sororities nationals really want them to do this, some really don't. Since half the sororities will be below total, at any time 6 are eligible for COB, and they're not always the lower tier sororities.
places like tridelt and dg are probably eligible for spring COB (I heard DG had a lot of deactivations) but probably won't cause of their nationals.
most places that do cob have already done it for this quarter. Unless you have a friend in a chapter or it's a low tier chapter, you're probably not going to get a COB bid.

Yeah, a lot of sororities do it really quick on on the dl. I know that a couple others also COBed too, but no one was super public about it.
